Friday’s Big Weekend Preview
This space was supposed to be reserved for horse racing, and why you'd be a fool for not watching the Belmont Stakes. There was going to be a paragraph about history, and another about excitement for I'll Have Another chasing the first Triple Crown since 1978. It was going to be good well, at least semi-readable stuff.
Well, so much for that. Bummer.
But, not all is lost, not with LeBron going off against the Celtics. Sports fans should live for Game 7's. And we've got a great one this weekend, plus a couple other things, too. So, yes, while it totally stinks about nearly all the excitement being sapped from the Belmont, this weekend is more than salvageable from a watching-sports standpoint.
